Aesthetic Nurse Stella Williams

Skin to Love Says Welcome to Aesthetic Nurse Stella!

We’d like to introduce you to Stella Williams, our new Aesthetics Nurse who joined us in July. She has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years and is a very welcome addition to our medical team.

Stella’s working part-time at The Skin to Love Clinic doing aesthetic treatments. For the rest of the week, she works a registered midwife at Luton & Dunstable Hospital.

In 2003 she began her part-time career in aesthetics when she joined a clinic in London’s prestigious Wigmore Street. In 2005 she went back to university where she got a first class honours degree in Midwifery, and has been delivering babies ever since – including three of her own step grandchildren!

We decided to ask Stella a few questions about herself so that everyone can get to know her better.

What do you like about The Skin to Love Clinic?

  1. The people – the staff are amazing, a real team, with a great team ethos.
  2. The clients – I get a great deal of satisfaction helping clients with their concerns. Having the opportunity to help people like this is very rewarding.
  3. The services and treatments offered – the Clinic offers first class treatments which are evidence-based and supported with a range of top quality skin care products. I firmly endorse and believe in the efficacy of the treatments and products offered, and because of that, I feel it’s an honour to work here.

Have you had any aesthetic treatments yourself?

I’ve had a few treatments over the years, e.g. Regenlite laser for skin rejuvenation, fillers, Botox® and thread lift. People state that I look quite young for 54!!

I also think it’s important that I know how treatments feel, so I can offer a more holistic service to clients and have more empathy when I care for them. If money was no object I’d probably like a Thermage treatment.

Do you have any beauty tips to pass on?

Start from the inside out. I have a very healthy diet, hardly ever drink alcohol and don’t smoke. I also workout at the gym 3 to 4 times a week, and never go out in the sun without an SPF 40+.

What’s your favourite place in St Albans?

The Little Marrakech restaurant as I had my first date with my fiancé Chris there, and we’re getting married in October. I never knew soul mates existed until I met him!

What are the top three activities on your bucket list?

  1. I’ve already swam with dolphins in the Florida Keys, which was phenomenal, such gracious creatures to spend time with.
  2. I’d really like to visit Japan as the culture fascinates me, as does Japanese history.
  3. I’d love to sing on stage in London – the Royal Albert Hall for preference! I was in a really successful choir when I was younger and I miss it…
