Facial red veins, background redness & leg veins

Facial red veins, facial redness and leg veins are very common in both males and females and can be the result of numerous factors including sun damage, age, trauma or a skin condition called Rosacea. On the face they mainly appear on the nose and cheeks and both of these problems respond well to treatment. Whilst most conditions will be greatly improved following a course of treatments, occasionally treatments can be on-going dependent on the problem being treated.

At The Skin to Love Clinic, our skin care experts have a wealth of experience and knowledge in assessing the face, treating redness, facial red veins and leg veins. During your consultation with us all aspects of your skin’s health will be considered and discussed with you and we will suggest a treatment or product plan to allow your skin to look and feel it’s best. You can feel confident that with our team’s knowledge and experience, combined with our clinically proven treatments and sought after products we will help your skin will look and feel the best that it can.

  • Intense Pulse Light (IPL)

A unique, safe and effective treatment that has FDA approval to treat background redness. This treatment successfully and reliably treats complaints without topical or oral medicines and with no lifestyle changes. Intense Pulse Light is released in precise and controlled pulses of filtered light which targets the troublesome blood vessels. The light energy is transformed into heat energy, which coagulates the blood, resulting in the targeted vessels collapsing and being safely reabsorbed by the body.

Following your treatments, the problem vessels are reabsorbed leaving little or no trace of the problem. Patients can see a visible improvement in their condition after the first or second treatment, but will typically need to have further treatments to get the best possible results. Normally a course of three to four treatments are given at three to four weekly intervals. Some people may require more treatments than this suggested amount.

*Disclaimer: Results from IPL treatments may vary from person to person, because each individual responds differently to treatments.

  • Veinwave™

A effective treatment for red veins and redness which uses thermo- coagulation. The safe but very effective heat energy emitted by a uni-polar current at the tip of an ultra-fine, insulated needle, can specifically target each individual vein whilst protecting the surrounding tissue through the insulation of the needle.

Veinwave is used to reduce the appearance of the prominent veins on the face and legs and normally one to two treatments are required and these are normally offered at 4-6 week intervals.*

  • Sclerotherapy

This treatment is designed to improve the appearance of larger veins on the legs. The leg thread veins are injected with a series of tiny injections, and a solution is used to shrink the fine veins to reduce the size and appearance.

Treatments are normally repeated two times with 4-6 weeks between each treatments. Veinwave can also be used in conjunction with sclerotherapy in some cases. *
