How Does the Liposonix Treatment Feel?

The discomfort level of this fat reduction treatment is mild to moderate; during the procedure, you may feel sensations of cool and warmth, tingling or scratching. Some areas of the body contouring treatment site may be more uncomfortable than other areas; this is normal.

How Will the Treated Area Look After the Liposonix Treatment?

Redness, mild swelling and bruising in the skin tightening the treatment area can occur post-procedure. These effects naturally reduce within a few days, often hours following the treatment. However, bruising will last for as long as a bruise usually lasts for an individual. When Will I See My Results From the Liposonix Treatment?

As with all treatments, results and how quickly you see them differ between each individual as we are all unique. In our experience, most patients see results between 4 and twelve weeks.

What Happens to the Targeted Fat Cells After Being Exposed to the High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound Energy?

Your body gradually and naturally gets rid of the treated fat cells safely by your forager cells which consume the treated fat cells and naturally eliminate them. Rigorous clinical testing demonstrates that there is no impact on liver function and will not migrate to other areas.

Will I Lose Weight After the Liposonix Treatment?

This is not designed to be a weight-loss treatment. Liposonix fat reduction is designed to sculpt and remove stubborn pockets of body fat to give you a more streamlined, svelte-looking figure.

During weight loss, the number of fat cells remains the same, but they shrink in size. The Liposonix HIFU technology permanently removes some of your fat cells in the treated area.

How Many Sessions of Liposonix Will I Need?

Some of our patients opt to have repeat treatments in the same area if they are not quite at their ideal weight or if they simply want to boost their results further. You can discuss this fully with your practitioner and make a treatment plan during your consultation.

What’s the Difference Between Cool Sculpt and Liposonix?

Cool Sculpt treatment uses cryolipolysis technology, also known as ‘fat freezing’. We also use cripolipolysis technology in our Cristal treatment. The Liposonix treatment uses a completely different technology, known as High-Intensity Focused-Ultrasound (HIFU).

During your Liposonix treatment, your practitioner passes the treatment head over your treatment areas to accumulate a therapeutic level of HIFU energy to destroy your fat cells. During a cryolipolysis treatment, a set area of fat is gently vacuumed by a treatment head and cooled to destroy your fat cells.

Both technologies are non-invasive and permanently destroy your fat cells.

What Happens if I Put on Weight After My Liposonix Treatment?

If you gain weight after you’ve been treated any remaining fat cells in the treated area, and generally any fatty tissue throughout your body, may swell and increase in size. We always recommend that if you are considering this treatment you should make sure that you are at a stable weight and follow a healthy lifestyle.

Who Is a Suitable Candidate for Liposonix?

Prospective patients ought to be close to their ideal body weight, with a BMI < 30, but have specific, stubborn areas of fat accumulation they wish to address that a good diet and consistent exercise routine have not solved.

What Occurs During the Liposonix Procedure?

Some of these side effects generally subside over the course of a week, though some RealSelf members say it took over two weeks for the bruising and soreness to dissipate. A few also said they experienced itching beneath the skin.

You can resume your regular exercise routine after one week of the Liposonix treatment.

The next 3 months is a time in which the body’s natural healing process will gradually process out the destroyed fat cells. Although the treated fat tissue is destroyed permanently, some of the patients undergo a second session of treatment in order to achieve full satisfaction. While the destroyed fat cells can’t grow back, the remaining fat cells in the treated area can expand if you gain weight. What Are the Pros and Cons of Liposonix?

Pros

Those who did not think it was worth it mentioned severe pain during the procedure, side effects such as severe bruising, itching, and swelling, and minimal results.
