Clear and Brilliant is a non-surgical skin treatment that aims to improve your skin’s texture, tone, and radiance. We most frequently use it on the face but it can be used to treat anywhere on the body where dull skin, pores, scarring, ageing, and hyperpigmentation is a concern. We like to think of this treatment as pressing the ‘reset’ button on your skin.

How Does Clear and Brilliant Work?

Clear and Brilliant is a laser treatment. It’s a gentle laser that uses ‘fractional’ technology-the same as the renowned Fraxel Duel laser, in fact. Actually, it’s made by the same people Fraxel.

The Clear and Brilliant laser creates tiny ‘micro-injuries’ in the skin which triggers its natural healing process. This process encourages the production of healthy new skin cells and collagen, refreshing your skin from the inside out.

What is Clear and Brilliant Good For?

Both a preventative treatment (maintaining great skin) and corrective skin treatment (addressing specific concerns), the Clear and Brilliant laser is great for:

It’s worth noting that there is no treatment that actually removes your pores, they’re an important part of your skin’s structure, but there are ways to make them less prominent.

What Does Clear and Brilliant Laser Feel Like?

We usually apply a numbing cream to the skin prior to treatment so that the sensations are reduced, and the treatment is a comfortable as can be for our clients. Having said that, we do have some clients who choose not to have this cream applied; they’ll feel similar sensations, just more intensely.

During the treatment the sensation tends to feel warm and prickly as the laser is moved over the skin. Afterwards you’ll likely feel like you have mild sunburn in the treated area, which fades generally within 24 hours.

Is There any Clear and Brilliant Downtime?

It’s minimal. Most will have pink skin immediately following the treatment, which will feel warm, and generally resolves within approximately 24 hours. After this subsides, you may notice that your skin feels sandpapery for a few days (hello micro-treatment zones) and may feel dry as your skin renews; this is usually only noticeable to the person who has had the laser treatment and shouldn’t prevent you from going to work.
